Lumbar supports

Is it just me or do other people struggle to spot any difference when moving the lumbar support adjusting wheel from one end of adjustment to the other? My seats have had new parts fitted by my dealer and returned to me but I still could find no movement in the lumbar support area. I wrote to Peugeot UK and expressed my opinion that the seat design was lacking something. The dealer took it back in and discussed their second findings with Peugeot UK and came to the conclusion that my seats are the same as all others. Peugeot tell me that I am the first to complain about this matter which I find hard to understand - so my question is just whether any other people have complained about a lack of adjustment?

I also had the gear linkage adjusted recently and although it has improved I still find it "notchy" mainly in first, with another little hiccup when going from reverse into first it occasionally stays in reverse - not always convenient!! Anybody help on either of these items?

Must agree about seat lumber, i myself can not feel any difference when adjusting support. Regarding gear change i find changing from 1st to 2nd is rather notchy which is more noticable when starting from cold but there is a bit of improvement when the oil is warmed up, But overall its not the smoothest of gear changes.

Never experienced any issues with the seat.
Most comfortable when you "stretch" out your legs and "push" yourself into the seat.
Do you try and sit upright - or are you a "sloucher". Sit upright and you may feel some diffence :eusa-think:

Eh
How are you managing to do that.
You sure you're taking the gearstick back to the "neutral gate" first and then putting in first ??
This is the first time I've heard of this one :eusa-think:

Thanks for comments. I am only a sloucher when trying to avoid the washing up! I do sit upright but I didn't mention before that I had lower back surgery some 16 years ago which is why I am a bit fussy about seats.
Regarding gearchange I also forgot to mention that managing to stay in reverse when trying to go from reverse to first is without touching the "lifter" on the gearstick. Regards the gearchange being notchy I have had two STI Imprezzas for the past 11 years and they are seriously smooth. My Peugeot Boxer based motorhome gearbox is much smoother to use than my GT HDI RCZ.

Mmm...sounds like a trip to the Dealer there.
I also have the HDi and have never experienced this. Always have to lift into reverse and then slide into the neutral gate for first.

Hope it's a straight-forward resolve

Some people did report a notchy gear change from first to second on new cars, I experienced it for about a month when I first got mine. After that there were no more problems, silky smooth now.

The 2nd gear change for me has gotten better recently but I get the feeling it's from me getting used to the gearbox rather than it sorting itself out. Just requires a little more time going from 1st to 2nd. Not a problem as all once everything is warmed up though.

Same here, bit notchy until it settled in.
