Hi
I know this is a long shot, but the wheel nut locking key on my wife’s RCZ has been damaged by nut guns. I am replacing the nuts with standard ones, but there is one locking nut I cannot undo.

I live in East Sussex and I wondered if there is anyone local who has a key locknut code: E 7DXO just to undo one nut (I am happy to drive to you)IMG_9622.jpeg

Many thanks

Hammer a smaller socket over the end & then use a torque wrench to ease it loose don't use a imp[act gun as for replacing the originals I binned all mine when I bought it because I knew when I got the first wheel off whist changing all the brakes disc & pads they were cheap shite & fitted a set of splined nuts these are virtually idiot proof as they will only fit the Locking nut in one position

Hi
I sent you a Peugeot dealers today, who were very helpful, but said it won’t work to hammer a socket on as the slip ring means it will simply turn without loosening

I had to call out a 'specialist' to remove two of mine, the locking wheel nuts are utter shite. or rather they work so well even with the 'key' they round off and break really easily if some tyre twat has over gunned your wheel nuts after a tyre change. Cost me about £100 to get them removed at my home and about £15 for 4 new wheel bolts.....another Peugeot faux pas.

A tyre garage removed mine when they couldn't get them off. They hammered a socket on and it didn't take them long. They didn't charge.

The locking wheel nuts were months old after the supplying dealer broke the previous set.

The Peugeot supplied ones are the worst I've ever seen. I've removed them and use normal bolts. Wheel theft isn't common these days and if they want your wheels the locking nuts won't stop them.

That's a load of fookin rubbish the ring they refer to is the torque spacer-collar & that is not what turns its the actual wheel bolt that turns in the threads the collar is supposed to stop the wheel from splitting from overtightening the bolt pity they didn't teach the tyre fitters who don't reset the guns between changeovers

When I bought the car the locking key was broken, unusable, I went to the Peugeot agency and ordered a key for €92, I had to show the documentation of the car. It arrived a week later.

I was able to easily remove 3 of the 4 screws, the fourth took a lot more but it came out at the end, leaning the key against a column so it wouldn't slip away

All the screws were badly damaged by the damn pneumatic guns.

I now have MCGARD 26002SU screws installed, but the cap cannot be put on, they remain visible, they are chromed
