So, I decided to call the dealer today and ask if they can give me a delivery date for the car, as it was originally touted as 'sometime in sept' and I know Peugeot are trying to kick as many out of the door prior to the end of the month to hit their group targets, so fingers crossed.

Also it's kinda hard to plan my own time without at least some notice. As this is the first vehicle I've ever bought where I've had to wait for it to be built, I wonder if anyone has any tales of their own, advice on how to get them to crack on, or whatever to help me get my damn car nooooow! ;)

If they do that then I'll let all the tyres of their forecourt cars down overnight.

It really can't be that hard to estimate a date, I'd like to think logistics in the car industry has evolved beyond reading tea leaves.

There really isn't an awful lot that you can do to get them to "crack on". :eusa-think: I would suggest that you keep in touch with your local dealer to try and get a clearer estimated delivery date. I would also ask them that, once your car is identified, they get the relevant details that they require to push through your the vehicle registration documents and get the plates on the car and your road tax in place for pick up day. Aside from that I think it is just a bit of a waiting game...it'll be worth it when pick up day arrives though!! :dance:I hope it isn't too long a wait for you!!

I was very lucky with mine, saw it in the showroom, said I will have it, collected it 3 days later!

Ah well, got a call back and it's scheduled build date is the end of the month, so it's looking like mid October for collection.

Still it'll be worth it ;)

If you get a delivery date and the dealer sticks to it you can ask for no more.
Just hope it's not too long and you can hold in the excitement ;)

I went to the dealer for some minor repairs on my 307 and I drove home in my own RCZ!
You can't beat that.

Well the dealer had 3 used RCZs in, one of which was lent to me for a week, but they were all Black, silver wheels, leather and diesel... which is fine, but not what I wanted. Also the car is a present to myself for being so awesome, so I decided any less than new would not do ;)

4 months, that's a mere nothing ;)

I wanted 10 months before I picked mine up. Then the very next day it went off to the leather retrimmers, so had to wait another month, to get my hands properly on my beautiful RCZ. I have to tell you, the wait was soooooooo worth it :)

It's not self praise, I am paraphrasing others. No matter ho much I deny it it would seem I am awesome by definition ;) Hence the present.

It's not often a reply on a car forum would also fit in on an S & M forum ;)

Are you a Wokingham resident? I live near St Crispins.

Bracknell. Live and work there.
But I go to Wokingham to Peugeot - quite a lot lately :!:
And the hairdressers and Waitrose
