So, I decided to treat the Z for my birthday, so A visit to Halfords, and I got :-

G3 Body Prep Shampoo, Ultimate Mer Polish, Mer Deep Gloss Finishing Wax, & Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Spray. Oh I also got Simoniz Chrome Cleaner for the exhaust trims.
I already had the Diamondbright Rainscreen Glass Treatment.

I'm still looking for a good protector for the black arches, as all the ones I've seen seem to have a "shine" which is no good for the mat arches, and some other products have an oily run off when it rains.

I gave it the full treatment the other day, so started on the left above, and worked my way through the products. 3 coats of wax 2 coats of glass treatment, 3 on the screen.

So far, very happy with the results. Certainly a good test tonight with the storm we are having.

For you black roof arches I would suggest using Autosmart Topaz. It keeps them looking Matte but keeps them protected for at least 3 months. It's brilliant on all trim including the scuttle panel (bottom of the windscreen) and the trim at the bottom of the front bumper.

It's a sealant / polish / glaze. It's brilliant because you can use it on all your paintwork, trim (it doesn't leave white marks on trim) and chrome. Everywhere except windows really. You can use it under or over a wax or sealant. It's very versatile.

It's comes in 5 litres normally but there are a few sellers on eBay who decant it into smaller containers. A little goes a long way.

Topaz beading on my roof arches recently. (Taken after I'd driven the car).

The link is for 500ml of Topaz, a micro fibre cloth and 2 polishing pads. Or at least that's what I see.

Yes it is :eusa-think: how strange, I got a cloth of some sort the first time I used the link, now I get the 500ml as you described.

Do you think it's worth paying a bit more for the 1ltr or will 500ml last a good while? I think the only things I would probably use it on would be the arches, Scuttle panel, front lower bumper trim, and maybe the rear diffuser.

Btw, couldn't resist another coat of everything this morning, before the sun came round onto the drive, and after the very heavy storms of last night. (Heavy rain forecast later again though  )

I've had my 500ml bottle since the beginning of the year. The level has hardly dropped. A little bit goes a long way.

At least you only have 2 exhaust pipes to clean - that should save some time, eh? ;)
