Perhaps I am showing my ignorance here, but can anyone explain to me what is the KUDOS markings/scoring under the Forum members submission, to the left of the screen ?

If someone "thanks" you for your post e.g. Likes it, the post can be liked and you'll see a thumb appear above it. This gives the poster kudos.
