Hi Everyone,

Just joined the forum .... hello!
Ordered my new 61 plate RCZ this afternoon - Amber Red 2.0HDi 163 GT. I'm from Aberdeen and never seen a red one 'in the flesh' so at least I'll be unique.
This is my 4th consecutive Pug - had two 306s - a 1.9DTurbo, a 2.0HDi Dturbo and just traded in my 207 1.6HDi GT.
I've dreamed of the RCZ since they came out and still can't believe I'll get one in a couple of weeks
My OH has a 59 plate Focus RS and the test drive even put a smile on his face, he didn't expect it to be so much fun. Don't think I'll be nicking a shot of his so often now  maybe i should hide my spare keys.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to and what they've been doing to theirs!

Welcome to the forum Donna :greetings-wavingblue:

You've made a super choice. Not many Amber Red's around. Bee will be pleased ;)

Look forward to seeing some pics when you get it

I think you should hide the keys to the RCZ, don't want the OH driving it. I haven't let my husband drive mine and I've had it nearly a year :D

You are very fortunate to get your hands on a new RCZ in only a couple of weeks. Most of us had to wait for several months. But you will enjoy the drive without any doubt. They are fantastic and great fun to drive.
Will look out for your updates

Was my two day wait a bit of a record then?
Just a bit  Was that a stock car that you decided to accept or the model of your choice?

As luck would have it. Both of the above coincided and after gentle persuasion it was turned round in less than 48 hours. Tbf it was great service from start to finish and a really fun buying experience.

you will only wait for an rcz if you detour from the standard models spec.which most people on here do :)

I knew when I ordered it I was only interested in either of the whites or the red ....... I'm trading in a Lacerta Yellow 207 and vowed I'd never again have a 'dull' colour after having that. Although the RCZ looks fab in black it'll be really hard work to keep it looking great in the months/years to come!
.... and I think the red is nice and 'girly'! :text-blondmoment:

The garage told me if I wanted white I'd probably have to wait until early Spring for a delivery (which in hindsight probably wouldn't have been a bad idea considering the winters we get up here, but heyho, my trade in would have been worth £££s less by then). So I just took the bull by the horns and went for it.

First on my must-buy list is going to have to be wintergrips though ........

It can be done much quicker than that in the right circumstances....like customer buys at 3pm and drives off in car at 5.30pm :D

That must be very unusual. A small matter of insurance would normally prevent that occurring too often I suspect.

Yes it's very unusual but we have done it, insurance is the easiest bit, 20 minutes to get a seven day cover note or 5 minutes to get a 24 hour certificate online.
