Ipod Touch connection advise.

Hi

I have the standard stereo I.E not JBL and not Sat Nav.

Will a 3rd Gen Ipod Touch work either with USB or Bluetooth connection?

I've tried it and if I connect USB get an error?

If I connect Bluetooth it works?

No....bluetooth is rubbish - I get distortion with the playback?

Any ideas??

i know it doesn't answer your iPod question but my solution was to buy a 15 quid 16GB usb stick, convert all my music in iTunes to mp3 and copy my entire iTunes library to the stick. problem solved and i don't have the fuss of carrying the iPod around or having it rattle around in the arm rest.
