Hello everyone! This is my first post on the forum and I was hoping someone could give me some ideas as to what’s going on with my car.

The Issue

It’s a 2012 diesel RCZ (168hp) and when I first start the car in the morning, it’ll be perfectly normal but when I get to 5th gear, around 1600-1800rpm, I’ll feel the power just drop and I’ll need to accelerate harder.

After that happens, the car will not have as much power until it’s fully cooled down and started again.

Actions

• Replaced MAP sensor
• Replaced throttle body
• Replaced accelerator
• Ran through a tank with Redex
• Ran through 2 tanks of BP Ultimate
• Got a carbon clean (the easy one)
• Used some EGR cleaner
• Vacuum hoses checked, pressure good
• Cleaned MAF sensor

Scanning initially threw up P2125 which meant “Throttle body position sensor switch E circuit”, although that hasn’t came up since replacing the throttle body. No fault codes present now.

From reading the forum, I’m convinced that it’s possibly a vacuum solenoid at the back of the engine that controls either the throttle body actuator or the turbo boost although my mechanic says it’s unlikely.

The car makes an odd clicking sound near where the EGR valve is when I switch off and 50% of the time, there’s a sort of groan (sounds like a cow) about 20-30 seconds after switching the engine off.
