Hello, im looking at buying an rcz gt hdi, and so far all the insurance quotes have come through with 308 gt listed as the car model, anyone else there had this problem, i know theres a link in the design with the two, but confused about the 308 bit on the qoutes, havent got a real answer of the companies qouting at the moment, "there getting back to me" is a bit strange.
Any light would help
many thanks
Phill

Are you going by the reg or the car type?
There should be no issues with insurance co's on RCZ's, even my R was listed and the model had only been in the country a few months ;)

I would suggest going to a main stream company, its cheaper than you think!

Welcome doofussf1,
I have a 11 plate Hdi GT. Had no problems with finding the exact car on Gocompare.
Had a very good quote (was only £20 more to insure than my old 57 plate 308 sport 110 Hdi)
Went with Hastings in the end. Had everything I was looking for courtesy car, windscreen cover and a breakdown cover.
Hope this helps

Thanks everyone
Been with admiral for a while now, and the closest they say they can come to the details is that its a 308 gt, been told its still fine and there putting a note on my insurance.
Still not convinced with this, as means the reg number dosnt match the discription on the insurance.
looked at hastings, not a bad quote, for around the same as admirals
Looking at changing now to someone else

Weird, I'm with Admiral and they found mine just fine as an RCZ. They've got some sort of c*ck up for your reg in their database it would seem!

At least you're sorted though.

Sorted insurance finaly :)
Ditched admiral after 15 years, as there still conviced that my rcz is really a 308GT, and it does say on there policy that if any details are incorrect then the insurance is invalad, and there quote is really high for not alot of cover. So i found someone else, gives me more cover then admiral, keys covered, lots more really, for a good price.
So im a very happy owner of a great rcz gt
