How to: Change the glovebox light

Hello again. :greetings-wavingblue:

Welcome to another of Abz's how tos. Today I will talk you through changing the bulbs in your glovebox.

All you will need is a smallish flat head screwdriver and the replacement bulbs (See below for my recommendation).

Step one:
Your glovebox light is located on the right hand side of the glovebox.


To remove it, you need to pop it out at the rear of the glovebox. The easiest way is to put the screwdriver as it is below. Then, pull it out while also sliding it towards the back of the glovebox. This is because the switch is attached to the unit. While discovering this I broke mine But its a sacrifice I made so you dont have to


Step two:
You will need to remove the bulb.

These are the bulbs that should be in there.


I recommend these bulbs as a suitable replacement.

Put your new bulbs in and put the lense back on. And thats it

evening all.
If you look at the lens cover you will see a slight difference at the rear of the lens at the box of the glove box.. its i slot to take the screwdriver blade. I'm not entirely sure but i think Abz's is around the wrong way as i think my slot faced the front of the box and came out easily.

After speaking with Diggerd today, it seems the mk2 is like he said, and the mk1 is how I have done it above :thumbup:
