Good evening
It’s regarding my car Peugeot RCZ 2012 petrol
I just got back from my mechanic and unfortunately I was told I will have to pay over 1000£ to exchange my high pressure fuel pump
It’s a lot of money and I wonder if it could be done cheaper
Problem started when I saw on dashboard sign saying that there’s something wrong with my engine
I took my car to mechanic and he told me it’s coil which has to be changed
Few days later I got back to my mechanic to actually fix it so he checked my car again through that computer which he attached to my car
Pls forgive me I’m so clueless when it comes to those things
And this time he said he needs to have a better look
When I went to get my car he said it’s high pressure fuel pum which costs just under 800£ plus vat and labour all together over 1000£
It’s a lot of money which I don’t have before Christmas and I was wondering if there is way around it
Is it even possible to do it cheaper?
Has anyone experienced similar problem ?
