Hi Phil

Welcome to the forum :greetings-wavingblue: It's a friendly, welcoming place.

Its good to have another member from a dealership. You can keep us clued in as to what's happening should the need arise.

Go on then, if sown the seeds - how can you get a RCZ "off the shelf" - what do we need to ask for? :eusa-think:

Ok, as a dealer we are only allowed to sell our 'stock' RCZ if we already have another one to replace it on site so if you find a dealer who has a demonstrator, a showroom car and a n other car then they can sell either the showroom or a n other. For instance, we have a 156 in dolphin a 200 in shark and a 163 hdi in shark. The 163 is a demo and already registered but the 156 and 200 are available for immediate delivery. Any Takers lol ????. BTW not just on here to sell cars, I love the RCZ and when the time comes (waiting for the mrs 308cc passport renewal moment) Phil (or the mrs) will be the proud owner of one.

There should be an approximate build date on their dialougue system or at least a scheduled to build date. The problem is that dealers are scored on whether they get this accurate or not from a customers perspective so try and be as vague as possible, they are probably as much in the dark as you, which dealer is it? I have several contacts in the network and will try and get some more info for you. Unfortunately I can't look at another dealers orders from my system.

Don't know anyone there but don't despair. The best thing to do is give them a call and ask for an update on your car. Do it between 9-5 on a weekday when they have their admin in preferably not at dinnertime. Part of their standards is to keep you updated on your car. Be nice though it gets you further than shouting at them down the phone. If you get hold of someone switched on they can go on their system and look, takes about 2 mins they should be able to tell you when it is scheduled to build or if it is in transport. Sorry I can't help further.

Your advice is very good but unfortunately I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the service that I have received from my dealer. They never telephone you when they say they will. I appreciate they are busy but two minutes is all it takes to say "there's no change" or "there's a bit of an update". They also say they''ll give you a weekly call to keep you updated - I've had one - since February ! Yes, I'm always very nice when I ring to keep myself updated with what's going on and they are very helpful, when I ring, but they should carry out what they say they will do.

Sorry to burden you with my little story but feel much better now :eusa-think:

I am surprised by this because part of how we get paid is based on how we treat you. I agree that some dealers are not the best when it comes to keeping people informed (us included up to 3 months ago but we have turned it round) but rest assured Peugeot do know this and it is being addressed in a BIG way across the network. Don't let it dampen your spirits the RCZ is worth every single minute of waiting (although don't try to put your 5'8 17 year old daughter in the back cos she will moan like mad when you go ape round a bend and she bangs her head on the roof lol)

Oh it won't spoil my enthusiasm for the RCZ and they are really nice people at the dealer (all those that I've dealt with) - just don't always keep their word. Its a little niggle but I can live with it. ;)
