mmmmm when I purchased my 2010 Z last year it had already got the carbon roof now not sure if this was a factory fit or the other owner had it done after but there is quite a nasty scuff mark on it when I brought it, than low & be hold somebody than thought it would be a good idea to see if this marked easily & put another load of scratches on it (not impressed) so she's going in Saturday morning & having it re-done cost £130.00 for that the guy will take the other one off & recover with new carbon, so im thinking not done by Peugeot. Oh yeah & god help anybody who tries to see if it scratches easily.
Somebody must have my original 2010 HDi and that too had the carbon roof. Only difference that was Matt carbon and this one is Gloss. Neither have marked.

I wanted the gloss carbon to match the door mirrors which are done as well but I've kept it to the matt as the cost would have been quite a lot more than £130.00.

I like my carbon roof. However in fairness I also like the standard one. The only advantage of the carbon is it doesn't get scratched/marked. The standard is so easy to mark. I wouldn't suggest that is a good enough reason for paying the £1600 extra as I did.

It did have some swirl marks Ron when we detailed it in July but I polished them out ;) it seems to be made of similar stuff to the standard roof, but with a carbon covering and carbon still marks - Sorry :)

You kept that quiet gal. I had no idea. I've never noticed any marks. OK, so I can think of no reason at all other than personalisation and desire to pay all that extra for the carbon roof.

Ha good thinking that. Cheeky

I am going into jct 600 on Wednesday and we will see if I come back on here with a good response for you all.

I think I will be purchasing it. Just going to try knock them down abit more and if needs be put a little more deposit in.

We will see.

The advice on the servicing though is great. I didn't think about the fact that it's every 24month's or 20000 miles.

Also the ala.co.uk I will be intouch with Regarding the gap insurance.

What's everyone paying for there gap from these guys??

Thanks

One thing the service pack does is it gives you the better recovery service after the first year, which means they would recover you if you have a puncture plus if you lose your keys, whereas the normal recovery doesn't.
It doesn't work out cheaper but spreads the cost over the 3 years?

I didn't take out the service pack but I did upgrade the Peugeot Assist to cover puncture recovery - also gives you a hire car for 3 days should a tyrefitter not have your tyre in stock (handy considering the awkward size we have) anyway, it was ~£60 for the 3 years. Bargain

Hi' all and bringing yet more noise from the back of the house :greetings-wavingblue:
My carbon roof is the matt finish, I didn't know that their was a gloss finish carbon as I have not seen one as yet but will now keep an eye out!

The standard roof I think looks good and akin to the in vogue dark glass panoramic roofs ,,even if from what i've read the standard roof is a little more susceptible to the dreaded cleaning swirls.

With regard to posting some photo's of "the big blue", the car Not myself as we share the same name. I will endeavour to do so once I have mastered how to computer enhance the colour of my wheels! ..When I do manage to post the photo's please be kind and don't mention that my matt black sortliege's appear to have semi alloy coloured rims!!

Wishing jj_wright11 luck when he attends JCT 600 and enters the dealership arena in a bid to acquire his beauty.

..OO58RON, I asked and you delivered the goods ,,for i've now seen the gloss finish carbon roof and it looks nice  AND would I be right in thinking that the gloss carbon attracts admirers finger prints in the same way my alloys attract kerbs??

Although for the record this right honourable back bencher would like to state that: me and kerbs are a thing of the past !

I have never noticed that it attracts finger prints, but then I never notice any admiring glances. That goes for both myself and Pearl2. It's only when people make comments that I become aware of any such admiration. However I managed to drive through Woburn Park and a pack of Dere and not see the ruddy great Stags that the forum members were admiring at the time
