Have just joined the forum.
I have owned my RCZ 2.0 HDI with all the toys since last July 2010 ,love driving it even with a few annoying rattles .
The leather on my chair right hand support has now worn bad through getting in and out ,and it is back at peugeot today
for the 4 th time trying to fix a message on the warning panel saying "Risk of particle filter clogging seek handbook"
Has any one else had this problem.
Thanks

Hi Martin, welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about the couple of problems you are experiencing with your RCZ. This link might be of interest to you -
diesel-particle-filter-t874.html

With regards to your leather seat - do you regularly clean and protect your leather? It really needs to be looked after and kept moisturised (like the rest of us  ). If it's not then wear and tear can quickly set in by being constantly rubbed. Dirt gets in and then cracking occurs as well as loss of moisture in the leather. It's just something to bear in mind and it's something that has not appeared on the forum before.

Hope your problems are soon sorted out

What a co-incidence! So has mine - 6 times in 4 months, ready to open a can of whoop arse.

Who would have thought it was part of customer care as well as key piece of info to let customers know the potential cons of a diesel engine, not Peugeot!! Even though its within their industry as a common issue! Oh no because they would rather 'rob' their customers then have the honesty to let them have something called choice! Bring it on Peugeot!!

Hi
If you search this on any forum you will find out it happens, we even had some previous Audi owners saying they had it on there Audi's. From my point of view 16000 miles and no warning yet! The seats look fine and I put that down to the advice to feed them. If you compare the leather on the RCZ to my old FRV Honda it's sooo soft, the Honda now feels like plastic.

Hi, have a look at this piece of very useful advice:

http://peugeotrczforum.co.uk/diesel-models-particle-filter-warning-light-illumination-t2511.html

(Hope the above works, haven't done it before - and not really sure what I'm doing :wtf: )

Hasn't happened to me (yet), although I do give the car a blast every now and then to keep everything flowing
:auto-car:

Haven't moisturised mine yet (nearly a year now), so I'm going to start now
It's raining this weekend for a change, perfect time to get it done.

no leather seats should wear as badly in such a short period of time are you for real ;) obviously you cant get in and out of your car properly to put it politely. as the wear and tear of the leather seats doesnt happen over night and its there in the morning.if it was me i would be more carefull ;)

my heart is breaking..................had a fiat 1.9 multijet 130bhp and it was the best part of the car. peugeot build great and worldly renowned diesels engines.you buy a diesel engine for what....................high mileage economy nowt else its the why come here and instantly complain ;)
