Just booked the car in for it's first service, she's done 6000 miles and is 2 years old.

So rang my local dealer and was quoted £300  , when I asked what parts this included I was told......oil & filter.... brake fluid...... nothing else as the mileage is so low.
However I can if I request, have a new air filter (extra cost), a new pollen filter (extra cost), spark plugs (extra cost), ect ect .

Is £300 about right for this 1st service :eusa-think:

My car has just had it's 2 year service at 7000 miles, full service £170, nothing extra to pay.

The word extortionate springs to mind
I've only recently had mine done @ 18K miles (2 Year service) which included oil, filter and brake fluid change for £189.00 which I though was high although other Peugeot dealerships that I spoke to were quoting around the £300.00 + mark.
Shop around…

Problem I have is that this is the only local Peugeot dealer in Swansea, I would have to travel way out for another dealer. :eusa-think:

I think £300 is a bit of a p*ss take for oil & filter and some brake fluid.
I might look further afield just on principle :eusa-think:

I got Amber in mid January and enquired about service plans at the time. I was quoted £110 for intermediate service and £400 for major service. They put together a service plan that covers all my servicing for the next 3 years for £16.50 a month which I thought was easier on the pocket. This is at an approved Peugeot dealership in Sheffield by the way !

I just looked at the official Peugeot website and their online prices for servicing differ by a mile when you actually ring up a dealer to book a service.

When I tried booking online it quoted £195 for a full service including ALL parts, so I rang up Peugeot to make sure and was told "parts included depending on mileage", however if you car's mileage lower than what is quoted, ie 20000 for the 2 year service, you dont get the parts because the car has not done the mileage  . When I mention that if I was paying for parts I would want them fitted no matter what the mileage, the lady at Peugeot said " just mention this to the dealer when you take it in".
What a shambles,

Also when I clicked for the £195 service a drop down link said it included Part Synthetic oil only, it was extra to upgrade to Fully Synthetic oil. So their online booking facility is offering a service for an RCZ with the incorrect oil anyway.
It's all a bit frustrating, you find a price then find out all the bits are extra.

PEUGEOT SORT YOUR PRICING OUT

Where did you buy the car from? Tell them to give you a decent price and you'll bring back the car for future services otherwise threaten them that some other garage will get the business. We are still in a recesion so they will want your custom
Peugeot pricing is all over the place so it's down to you to negociate - a fact of life these days
Rgds.

Bugger that.... I'd be getting my local mechanic to service my RCZ if Pug try and charge me that! He uses manufacturers approved parts anyway......

Had my Service completed at Griffin Mill (Pontypridd).
(September 2012)

Total cost (Inc VAT): £225.00

This was for the routine 1st Service (at 2 year point) and a Coolant Change which I asked for.

Costs broke down as:

Labour: £102.80
Parts *: £84.70
VAT: £37.50
Total: £225.00

* Parts included:
Oil Filter: £10.10
Filtering Pad: £19.16
Charcoal Filt: £16.08
INEO ECS 5w30: £25.00
Washer Liquid: £0.92
Antifreeze: £13.44

Service was on a Diesel, so should be a bit more expensive than Petrol.
