It's too late for me now. I have accepted a fortnights assignment and so can't now go even if the tickets do arrive  Oh well, it was a great thought whilst it was a possibility but alas it seems that my good fortune is yet to arrive.

I'm just working adhoc via a couple of driving agencies. It looked as though I was going to get a permanent position that entailed being away from home for several weeks at a time, but ultimately that didn't come about.

Hi everyone,

Dont want to state the obvious, but if you are thinking of going to Goodwood on Friday (or Saturday/Sunday come to that) you really need to get there early. Last year there were 2-3 mile queues at 11-30am!!!!!!
The car parks are open from 6-30am.
The event opens at 7am.
On track action is from 9am
I will be there shortly after 6-30, and I tend to leave about 2-30 to 3-00pm. Chichester is notorious anyway for its rush hour queues, add to this the fact its Friday/Weekend, The Festival of Speed, plus hopefully good weather.
Might even get the chance to meet some of you guys there at the RCZ R stand...................I cant wait to see it in the flesh.
Hope you all have a fantstic day

 Snowy

The RCZ R is awesome!!!
There are two on display, one on the main stand and one in a large tent area. I spent a whole hour going through it with two well informed Peugeot Guys. 0- 62 in -.- seconds, 2-- BHP, Top speed 1--. Enjoy your day. Ps don't wash your car before you go otherwise you will have to do it again when you get home. Just like me and the Aston Martin owners as it's very dry and dusty in the car parks.

Don't miss the 208 T16 Pikes Peak monster and the stunning Onyx they are both there, but the 208 T16 will not be challenging the track record of 46.6 seconds I'm told this time. But if it did it would simply murder it.

A Big thank you to Peugeot for the complimentary ticket's we had a great day.

Hi Pacemaker
I wish I had read your post last night..........I didnt because I was busy washing the car ready for her big day today and yes you are absolutely right on all counts. DONT bother washing your car before Goodwood, as it will definately need doing again when you get home, as it is an absolute dustbowl (better than rain though eh :D )
The RCZ R is stunning, I definately want one now
The only thing is, Peugeot still wont say how much its going to be. The salesman I spoke to guesstimated about 33k but wasnt sure.
I have taken some lovely photos of the R, but dont know how to upload them
Also saw the new Alfa 4C..........................Gorgeous, and they reckon under 50k, must start doing the lottery
It was a fantastic day, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Red Arrows were absolutely amazing....Precision personified.( I think thats how you spell it :D )
P.S. Today at 10am the East bound queue getting in to Goodwood was 11 miles!!!!!!!!!!
Get there early

Hi Snowy87

Pleased to see you had a good day.
The RCZ Rs on display are not the final finish. Peugeot have said they are still deciding on the final details.

I asked if the twin pipes were going to roar like a lion? Answer: Yes RCZ R will sound like a sports car should.
Also asked where the start button was. There seems to be a space where the rear spoiler button was. That little hole Under the Peugeot sport badge.

I got a big smile from the boy's at Peugeot HQ.

Peugeot have really made a big effort on the R. Can't wait.

Hi - I think I missed everyone from the forum that was there on Friday - what an awesome day though! My daughter nearly ended up doing the surfing on the peugeot stand but bottled it at the last minute....

I think one of you talked to a friend of mine too - he's the guy behind the 'Lightning car' - first electric supercar - anyway he said that someone who owned an RCZ was talking to him and he asked them if they knew 'Liz' ....anyway if it was any of you shame I missed you!!

Definitely going next year and this time I'll take the other daughter out of school too - as they would both love it!

Liz

Thanks Peugeot for the Thursday and Friday tickets as well as the Surfing coffee and a ride up the hill in an RCZ. We had a wonderful time and used the baby camper in a pub 1 mile away, £10 per head and they do camping, to get there very early on Friday and managed Honda ATV rides, Motorcross rides and a Q3 on the off road course! What a wonderful busy few days.
