Fuel Costs

You get a little bored at reviewing fuel costs at your local Filling Station; fluctuating almost daily , but around where I live , , the price seems to hover at approximately £1.34 per Litre......However, I was travelling to Bristol this morning , passing through the village of Pilning, (Approx 3 miles from Cribbs Causeway Shopping Mall), and was Flabergasted, (Never before has my Gasted been so Flabbered ! ! ), when I saw that the small Petrol station in that village was selling at 149.9 per litre. Hells bells, dont you think this is a little excessive ?
What I dont understand is why do the locals buy fuel there, when only 3 miles away in Cribbs is a Morrisons & an Asda s/Markets selling at £1.32 / litre ! !¬

Maybe the answer lays in the services being offered by the independent filling station. Or loyalty comes into play. Remember fuel shortages? As a regular of my local independent I and his other regulars continued to get our tanks filled as normal and without having to join ridiculously long queues either. Cheapest is rarely value for money.

1.34 would be nice - here in cambridge you don't see anything below 1.36 - apparently it's because there is no asda petrol station nearby which forces prices down. i go back to nottingham and can get premium for less than that!

My local Esso charge £1.29 for unleaded and £1.33 for premium unleaded.
Asda is £1.32
Tesco £1.34
All within 1/2 mile of each other.

Another Tesco garage charge £1.35 about 2 miles up the road ?
