front mud flaps

Hi everyone, I've just taken delivery (Friday 26 July) of my RCZ GT in mercury silver. I was surprised to notice that although it had rear flaps fitted there were none on the front. Are these available?

No. They never were available. Clearly the original owner had the front ones added as extras as they were never fitted as standard. Some members have bought mud flaps from Halfords and successfully modified them to fit the rears.

After delivery of my RCZ earlier in July I went to the dealer to ask about front mudflaps as there are a couple of very muddy lanes on the way to our house. Ron is absolutley (w)right. There are no front mudflaps available for the car, however it is possible to get rear mudflaps from Peugeot and this may be what your car has.

It could do with front flaps -
Every time I get it washed and detailed by the European ( before I take it home and finish it ) the front wheels flick up water and the tyre dressing onto the rear wheel arches .

Scott, you are right - the RCZ desperately needs front mud flaps. Might not look aesthetically pleasing but they would be practical nonetheless.

By the way, I would change the tyre dressing you (or the Europeans) use. You don't want one that slings :)

I use a spray , the Euros just do it pretty quick with a paint brush so a bit too much goes on . I'm going to just tell them not to bother .

As Ron says, Halfords Universal flaps fit great on the front, however they do look better if you trim them down shorter with a sharp stanley knife.

They are in a blue packaging if you are loking for them.
