Front Bumper

There isn’t really much play about the front bumper skin, location tabs near position it.
Couple of pics might help. The red circled grommets/bump stops to the front can be adjusted slightly to lower the bonnet a little to level it with the wings
The bumper has tabs that go through the locating points (blue circles, plus some) and then have torx bolts to affix, there is a little amount of play in the holes for the bolts to move it inwards, but really not that much. Also the bumper wraps the headlights so any moves make changes there too. The black crash bar behind the bumper skin can be adjusted also , but it’ll take quite a bit of time with little moves to make sensible alterations.
What adjustment are you seeking?
You be at it a while, so be patient. The car in the pic took me many hours to align to my satisfaction, including adjust the wings. It was only a tiny bit off, never been in an accident and when I finished with it stood back and thought that it just wasn’t worth all the time wasted to achieve so little.
And the difference between the mk1 and mk2 is null re fixings. (Had thought of putting a mk2 front on but came to think the mk1 is just nicer, no offence mk2’ers (but it is
).
