Hi to all, greetings from Melbourne Australia :)

I'm a few weeks off taking delivery of my RCZ that I have been waiting for, for around 9 months and can't wait - it seems like an eternity!
On order is a fully optioned Perla Nera Black RCZ (badged as a 200yr Anniversary Model) with the 147kw Petrol engine, carbon fibre roof and wing mirrors,19" Solstice Wheels, Jbl sound system, vision pack, sports pack, upgraded Pioneer sound system with GPS and reversing camera (no ng4 option available in Aus).
What may be of interest to the folk on this forum is that I'm having the car Vinyl Wrapped in flat black for that old school look that should in theory accentuate the cars sexy lines - have had mixed responses from friends but I'm really excited about doing something different - I will post some before and after shots as soon as I get hold of some (ship lands in Melbourne next Thursday - yes I'm tracking it lol!)
Feel free to say hi :)

Welcome to the forum Noel

I personally don't think you are doing the right thing by a) wrapping it and b) wrapping it matt. But if that's what YOU want then enjoy it. It is your car after all.

I will look forward to seeing some pics when you get it. Like me you've had to endure a 9 month wait, but boy is it worth it

first reason is this : new-owner-from-belgium-t3411.html

second reason: A few months ago I saw a bunch of matt RCZ's in the city center of Stuttgart Germany. It was very special to see and liked it a lot.

Not sure about the flat green though if it was the same colour as my wife's lacerta yellow 207CC then it would be a different story

Thanks for the positive feedback...

Hi all,

My "baby" has finally been born, arrived at the dealer today so I snuck in to take a few pics ahead of it being shipped off to the vinyl wrapper - thought I would share some pics of "arsey" before it gets its new matte black suit. Will send more pics of it being vinyl wrapped and the finished product.
Thanks for the warm welcome I have received :)

Cheers

Noel

Definitely a stunner..... but aren't they all ? I'm not sure about the wrap either. I would be interested on your thoughts on it after a year or so. I had thought of doing the front end of mine in a clear wrap, but was talked out of it. So please keep us all posted.

Thanks for the reply guys...yeah "arsey" does look amazing I knew I wanted one since the 1st renderings of the concept were released and can't believe after a 2year project that I am only a week away from taking delivery...

Re the Vinyl Wrap the cost is going to be about A$5000 which includes carbon fibre wrap for the spoiler to match the mirrors and roof and matte for the rest of the car. An expensive experiment I know but I think one worth doing...the proof will be when it's done and I get to share the pics with you. The way I look at it if it's a disaster I can have it removed and I will have a car with perfect paint underneath :)

Hi Noel I'm another Aussie taking delivery of a RCZ later this week. mine comes with the Sportif pack with unfortunately no GPS solution. I notice you have opted for the Pioneer in dash replacement unit. I was offered the Polaris unit which moves the existing top screen to the gap under the radio (which I like) but places a fixed monitor to the top of the dash (which I don't like and would much prefers the Euro folding option) question what impact has the Pioneer Unit install effect the information displayed on the top screen. Are you happy or heard of any better options. What simply love to get my hands on the top bin and GPS folding option. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Eatho525 welcome to the club :) hope your RCZ brings a smile to your face as mine does :)

Not sure what sound option you chose mine has the JBL upgrade which has caused some issues with the Pioneer unit - as a result the dealer / av specialists came up with a different option using a Sony Headunit (full 7" Display with nav option) will post some pics in the next few days. The result is better than I expected, the sound is much clearer and makes better use of the JBL option than the standard Blaupunkt / Clarion Headunit. The top screen is now only unsed for date / outside temp and to navigate the standard menu options. I have retained full use of the steering wheel controls
Can't be happier - full cost was around $4500 with reversing camera. Expensive but honestly worth the money in my opinion.
Let me know if you want more info

Great advice thanks - mine will be delivered with the standard audio version so not wedded to it. Ill look into the replacement unit. ive found out that while a replacement unit will take over most of the functions of the top screen, things like the operation of the analog centre clock is operated via the standard unit ( with suggestions of leaving the original under the seat to complete these operations) What's been your experience and thanks again

No thats not correct there is no need to hide the original unit under the seat..if you are getting that advice then I suggest you look to a more experienced AV specialist to do your install. There are units available that integrate into the existing Peugeot Canbus system that allows you to retain all functionality without the need to keep the original unit.
