Fault code C0040 Brake pedal switch fault: coherence with the pressure sensor

Hi guys, I’m getting an intermittent fault, the abs/esp shows up a fault, I’ve read the fault codes and 1 fault is showing, C0040 brake pedal switch fault: coherence with the pressure sensor.
has anyone come across this fault before? Cheers guys.

Thanks Pedro, yes I’ve ordered a new brake light switech, only £8.50, see if it cures the problem
