Engine tuning and lights

I've been thinking about getting my RCZ tuned for a while. I love the looks but I would like a bit more power.

When I bought my car (second hand) I purchased warranty with it separately.

So my question is, will getting the engine tuned affect the warranty as I know they'll try anything to get out of it.

I've also only just got my RCZ back after it having problems and it being fixed by them and I'm not 100% sure I won't have more problems.

Also seen a mk1 RCZ behind me today, but it had the reg 54, I thought 2012 was the last year of the mark 1? Anyway it had directional xenon head lights and they looked amazing. I wish I'd known about them when I was buying mine, I know it's too late to get them now but how easy is it to change the lights (just the bulbs). I've got the h7 bulbs just need to get down to doing it.

Thanks

It must have been an unregistered car in a showroom that was eventually bought in the second half of 2014.

The Mk2 was first available in 2013. There have still been cars registered recently, despite it being some time since the RCZ ceased production.

As for the Xenons I couldn't agree more, mine has them & I never want a car that doesn't have them again :eusa-think:

54 plate is September 2004 to end of February 2005!
63 or 14 or 64 would be a 2014 plated vehicle.

It's a private plate. You can only put a year plate on a vehicle where the plate is the same as or older than the year of the first sale.

Mine is T reg which is 1999.

tunning your engine means that you lose your warranty

putting a xenon kit is very easy and very cheap, any electrician can make it in less than 10 minutes

You wont legally be able to fit xenons to your car so my suggestion would be to look at replacing the halogen bulbs with uprated halogen ones like Osram etc.

Lidl (down on the south coast area) had twin packs of headlight bulbs in with 50% extra bright, xenon effect and blue tint for £3.99 each

I use the 50% extra bright ones!

Just a thought for the poster, there is a FULL RCZ R in the scrapyard ( looks mint but has been in a flood )

they are selling the front end including lights.... but very pricey. on a well known auction site.

I believe Xenons have to be self levelling and have to have headlamp washers fitted to be legal :eusa-think:
