Duran Duran

Hi,

Went to the Duran Duran Concert on Thursday 8 December 2011 at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff.

These were one of THE bands around when I was entering into and during my Teenage Years.

Firstly, amazed at how tall both Simon and (play the f**king Bass John ;) ) John are
Being Welsh, I am 5'7" and it was quite surprising to see these "Giants" running around the Stage.

They played mainly new stuff at the start :eusa-think: , sprinkled with a few older songs
Unsurprisingly, most of the crowd wanted to hear the old stuff and when they started this, the place was absolutely ROCKING

You should have finished with Notorious Lads, you completely had the crowd in seventh heaven
Finishing with Wild Boys...mmm :eusa-think:

Anyways, a really good night and all is forgiven for postponing the concert from the Summer.

Some of my colleagues are going to see them on Wednesday at Sheffield. I'm not really a fan of them. Much preferred Wham and Spandau Ballet ( who Hatman seems to be confused with :eusa-think: ).

A couple of their records I find ok now but could never really stand Simon "Le Blob" :eusa-whistle:

Going to see Simple Minds in February in Paradiso in Amsterdam. They're doing a 5x5 tour, 5 songs from the first 5 albums, before the Don't You crap started :)
