Deeply Depressing news about Dallas...

It has been rather a long time since i posted here... and i met a large number of you at the owners day in Coventry...

However, i now feel i must share my experience from the last 14 months or so of owning Dallas as i think possible buyers should have access to the complete picture when researching before they buy. If i had had this kind of knowledge i dont think i would have ordered my RCZ.

i am currently without the car for the 12th time. Every time it has been into the dealers it has been for a different issue. i am not a hypochondriac driver. i have had a stupid number of fault codes.

here is this list of parts that have so far been replaced or waiting to be replaced

cargo net in boot was missing at delivery
feline pack was fitted incorrectly (wrong colour stripes, wrong grill and quad exhaust was uneven and jagged)
wing mirrors made horrendous scraping sound when unfolding
onboard CPU failed, twice
Water pump failed
water pump to turbo failed
tracking repeatedly goes out and has to be laser aligned as pulls left constantly
leather in seats is very baggy and rumpled
engine has overheated twice leaving no fault code

this has really hit the fan when i picked the car up last thursday having been without it for 3 weeks and driving a 3008 (!) and had to return the next day to have the new front tyres balanced as theyd not been done properly, promptly drove it over the weekend with no issues, then Tuesday Morning 155 miles from home the piece of junk breaks down. With an engine fault code and the car kangarooing like it had no fuel. i waited in the freezing temperatures for the AA to tow me back to the dealership. The car now needs a new HP fuel pump.

The company i work for are now at the point where they have lodged an official complaint with Peugeot and are looking to reject the vehicle fully and i will be free to order a new company car which WILL NOT be a peugeot. not in a million years.

i have lost countless working hours, countless hours on the phone, stressed myself out to the point of being ill and constantly panic that i will break down in the middle of nowhere, in the dark with no phone signal.

i cannot be rid of it fast enough and i am heartbroken, i loved this car, but im pretty certain ive got a Friday Afternoon production line DUD.

the worst part for me? Plenty of people at Peugeot HQ are aware of the issues ive had and how bad this car is, yet no one has rang me, emailed me or even begun to give a toss because its a fleet car.

im deeply dissapointed in the service from Peugeot and the thought of getting up tomorrow to drive to Birmingham in my bloody 3008 courtesy car (complete with broken glove box, fag burns in back seats and faulty bluetooth) i genuinely wish i could ring in sick or i would wake up to find its been stolen.

Well firstly, you sound very, very upset and I would say understandably so.

Firstly, some of your first issues were down to your dealer, not Peugeot and most of us have suffered the grinding wing mirrors.

Your other issues are obviously more serious and indeed it does sound like you have a Friday afternoon car on your hands.
I can only sympathise and say you have been unlucky. Some members do seem to have suffered from one fault and then another whilst others have had none. If I were in your shoes, I would be upset like you are and want to see the back of the car.

Whatever happens with your car, if your company is able to get out of its lease, then I hope the car you replace it with, lives up to your expectations and more and that you are able to enjoy it.

Keep your chin up and let us know what happens.

That is really bad luck and it is very depressing to be in such a bad situation that doesn't seem to end. I'm sure once it is all sorted out and you are driving your groovy new car you will think about it, just roll your eyes and tut to yourself

When I'm going through something tough I remind myself time doesn't stand still just because it is hard, it will eventually be over. If that fails I watch a YouTube vid about Dick and Rick Hoyt, or Scott Rigsby, take a spoon of concrete and HTFU! Reminds me life is OK really.

:D Don't worry you will soon be out of your heap of cr*p Friday PM dud, driving something new and super.....And we expect to see photo's of whatever it is.

Chuzz J.r. is dead......lol sorry Larry a was a big fan god bless.right you have been blighted by rcz SYNDROME. Thinkin the 156 gt would bood great company fleet car NOT this thp engine ain't built for it as its a fragile engine too soft for short sustained high mileage that you do :gsimple as that sorry but a Audi Tt or similar BMW would have done the job a whole lot better
