Hi,

When I first purchased my RCZ these strips looked stained so I had them replaced foc. Now my new ones have gone the same. Does anyone know about this problem? Is it possible to clean the stains away?

Are you putting anything on them that you shouldn't be, like hard polish or soaps ?? Or maybe not drying them off properly ? :)

I gently polished mine with GTECHNIQ P1 before sealing. Used the soft side of hand polishing pad. U really should wax or seal them like an other painted bit of the car just be gentle. Oh when ur washing do them first then u won't scratch em

Hi Starky, I'm just washing them at the same time as the car with car shampoo. Drying at the same time as the car.

Thanks for the advice bigmac although a car like this should not have something as delicate as this on it with this happening so easily.

Do you use anything else when cleaning the car such as snow foams or TFT (Traffic Film Remover)?

If you wash cars, especially in sun, and the sun dries the shampoo onto the car before you have rinsed THOROUGHLY, then it will leave staining.

Any metals, if not looked after, will discolour over time.
