Bugs...Those dreadful things that love to commit suicide by flying into the front of your lovely cleaned RCZ. How bad are they for the paint? No matter what I do I cant avoid a healthy collection on the front and I dont want them marring the paint.

Im assuming that a week on freshly sealed paint will be fine? I already clean it weekly think any more frequently is pushing it.

PS I think im paranoid.

I agree with your assumption. The sealant applied will protect your paintwork. Excessive washing can only diminish the sealants protection prematurely. That would be my thoughts

You have Gtechniq EXO on your car don't you?

This will protect your paint. Use a pre wash - spray it on, leave it to dwell for 5 minutes then power wash down for a good 5 minutes. This should remove most of them. When you come to wash, DON'T rub at them or you will induce marring. Put your dampened wash mitt over them and let the heat from the water and shampoo dissolve them even more and then they should just wipe away.

Currently has 3 coats of Auto Finesse Tough Coat on the front.

Ok so they will be ok left on for a week, I just need to get myself a good pre wash?

Look for a thread I started a while ago about pre wash, I asked and got great answers which then transpired into fantastic results

Actually I just power-wash the insects away using cold, clear (= no shampoo) de-ionised what from the local wash box.

Removes the little devils quickly without removing or weakening the sealant.

In my opinion removing things easily is the main advantage of a good sealant.
