Very impressed Mr Rizz but why did you wash the car again and dry it, before claying? Would have saved you time to go straight to claying on a damp car :)

The clay wouldn't have picked up much as you had already decontaminated with Obliterate and Iron X

Very well done though and the results speak for themselves :)

Washed the z today. 1st time I've used gtechniq c2 liquid crystal. Finished off with dojo juice blue velvet hard wax. Very impressed with the results.

How much more useful a recommendation would be if it avoided one from having to search the net to establish what the product is and what is does.................... just a though as it happens rather a lot on here

Ask and your questions shall be answered RON. ;)

C2:

Based on pure monomolecular silicium (SI14), C2 is a non-yellowing, high gloss, dirt repelling coating that cross-links with all surfaces of your car including bodywork, glass and trim providing long lasting (as much as 8 months from a single application) and exceptionally easy non smearing application.

How do I use it?

Prepare the surfaces to be treated (C2 works on all substrates including paint, grp, glass, metal, rubber plastics) by washing with a wax-free PH neutral shampoo to remove organic dirt such as grease, soot, wax and polish residues, rinse thoroughly and then dry using a drying towel (we recommend Gtechniq MF2 Microfibre Drying Towels).Wipe C2 onto all surfaces using a microfibre cloth (we recommend Gtechniq MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth) and dry in using more microfibre cloths. Do not apply in direct sunlight and allow to dry. By applying slight hand pressure when drying C2 offers longer adhesion and higher gloss levels. One pass and a single thin layer is all that is required.MaintenanceA single application of C2 will offer up to 8 months protection. C2 does not require any special maintenance routine and being inorganic will cause no adverse reaction with any other product including repaint. We recommend following best practice for surface care which includes ensuring that wash tools are kept free from contaminants that could scratch and using a ph neutral wax free car/boat/plane shampoo. For very best results it is recommended to use a 1:20 dilution of C2 as a quick detailer (spray onto surfaces just prior to drying) once every 3 washes. C2 can also be layered to hide minor surface imperfections (eg marring on soft lacquers).

Well..he did ask about C2...not v3 of it.:wink::D
To be honest Rizz. I was more suggesting that when people say that this or that is great, to go one step further and say what the stuff is and/or what is does. That way it can be much more informative

You've got a point Ron but then don't want to bore everyone who's not interested ;)

It's not difficult to say "just polished my car broom is a really good polish, highly recommended" Or "Used a new product today Drat it has made my tired seats look like new."

If it was boring we would just skip it I for one would like to hear what's used for what how it's applied and such.

I realise that there is an extensive post on detailing but byte sized snippets and tips are easier to digest .

I'm with Ron on this one.

After washing it and drying the z. I just sprayed 4 or 5 pumps on a damp micro fibre cloth. Waited for it to dry and polished with a dry micro fibre cloth. This applies to each large panel of the car. The results are in the photos.

Ok points taken :)

I for one, will endeavour to fill in the blanks when I post something about products I've used :)

So regards to C2v3, it's in essence a spray sealant for paintwork but can also be used on glass, trim and alloys. A couple of sprays on a panel or microfibre cloth and spread it around the panel. Then with a clean microfibre buff applying slight pressure to enhance gloss. It has great dirt repellency, hydrophobic and slickness and at only £6 for 100ml is a bargain for something which has durability for up to 8 months. Can also dilute 1:2 to be used as a QD when drying the car, which will give about 3 months protection.

Sounds as though it is a competitor to my car pro reload then. As that to is a spray sealant, that can also be used on glass and plastic. So in my current circumstances I shall stick with this fine product, as I already have it. Although the C2v3 sounds like it's less expensive and longer durability

Yes it's similar to Reload but with considerably better durability. Gloss levels are very impressive too. Stick with your Reload, Ron then when you've used that up C2v3 would be worth considering :)
