Breakdown of the price of petrol (UK)

I don't know if any you saw this in the news today but I thought it was interesting and worth sharing. It'd be interesting to see a comparative breakdown with other countries. :eusa-think:

I have always known the robbing government took at least half the cost and fuel stations the least,and they all want us to buy low emissioned cars and stop smoking/drinking.................the country would go into Anarchy with all the different TAXES that would need to be introduced to replace fuel and tobacco/ALOCHOL levys

I've been thinking about that too. Gradually they are gonna have to increase every other tax they already have or "invent" just to replace the lack of fuel taxes.

They should make the fuel so damn expensive the lorries can't afford to move stuff anymore. I'd like to see their faces then... We'd be back at the stone age in a week :lol:

That day is not as far away as you think, Hauliers are disappearing daily because of the costs

Problem is drivers from Russia/Poland and such places that drive essentially "for free", basically come here and take over the jobs thus keeping it going when everyone over here deems it not worth the effort.

And that leads to more unemployment which we all know is awesome! --.--
