Battery management unit 308gt

I have my 308 get line in Peugeot garage. It has electrical fault and garage aid change Battery management unit…. Nearly 800 Got car home would start… now they say it is the battery… surely this would be checked first as poor battery would give wrong readings on diagnostics… any help appreciated

I would ring them to come & get the car if its still broken assuming they did a full voltage test on the battery to check so why are they telling you its the battery?
Mention Trading standards & they might change their minds & fix it properly second time round say the cars is not fit to drive on the roads with a power supply fault

Thank you, they have said they will replace the battery for free but I still think this should have been first port of call then battery management… just crap job… still not fixed urea light… saying it is a sensor oh boy
