Just been run off the road by a bitch in a Kia Ceed   !! Talk about taking the racing line on a corner. Jesus Christ.
Thankfully I was only a mile from home when it happened, so it was only when I parked up I inspected the damage. Dinted alloy and knackered sidewall on the wintergrip! I had the car booked into the garage on Thursday too, to get the summers swapped back on :( . At least I'll only need to store 3 tyres over the summer....

I am LIVID though   .... not often I need a drink on a Monday!!!

No I never got the reg no - was too busy concentrating keeping myself on the road and away from the wall!! In hindsight, I'm glad it happened so close to home, it didn't bugger the alloy or knock the suspension out, thrown me in the wall or the opposite ditch ... and Steve's onshore to help me with getting the car to the garage today. So all -in-all it could have been much worse. I'm 'only' a wintergrip out of pocket.

Steve tried to put the spare RS alloys on her this morning (he reckoned they should fit - and they did .... almost.....BUGGER!). So we jammed a big screw in the hole in the side wall, taped it down and CREPT down to Ellon to the garage, with the other summer tyres in the boot of the Focus. So summer tyres back on and only home with 3 winters :( going to have to find another soon incase they change them before next winter.

I DEFO need a set of spare wheels ..... my birthday is in 3 weeks, so I imagine what him indoors might be getting me.......

At least your other half was about to lend a hand and i'm relieved to hear that you didn't do any greater damage. Still not good though! I bet the air was blue...my car would blush  if it had ears when I am faced with mindless idiots on the roads. (We all know that we ourselves are perfect drivers...even if you're critical of my parking   )

If I bought Jen a (set of) tyre(s) for her birthday then I don't think she'd be too chuffed! However, she has no real interest in cars and already thinks me mad for the money I have lavished on my car and cleaning products. Maybe, I should give her a list of items for my Christmas. However, a set of Ruffer quads might be pushing it! :eusa-think:

A bit extravagant when I intend to put the winters on them and they'll only be doing about 3 months a year!!

Saw some nice ones on Ebay :eusa-think:

or

we'll see.......

Donna black solstice alloys can be got £300 each slightly cheaper than the second link alloys but both nice wheels though:thumbup: if mr Rs works on the rigs he can afford it ;)
