This is a big test and hopefully it works, I have been asked by fellow RCZ'ers who went on the Austria trip, if I can post some of my pics....
Videos I cannot do nor footage from my Drone.
I took 5 cameras and amassed over 230GB of data. This will probably bore the pants off many of you, if so don't look !!
Those of you whom are interested - enjoy.

If this works I will try to post in some sort of logical order, the first couple are tests...

This was the car after doing 1532kms - still shining

With the Alps in the background

The Castle - the Hotel Restaurant is just visible on the right

I love my car...

Sun just breaking through 8am

Engine just ticking over

Some shots you just cannot bore of

The owner of the castle has been dead 200 years !

Even managed to find a woodpecker

Twinkle twinkle little star

This was a vivid shot of the car

A red kite if I am not mistaken

I'll post some more tomorrow......

When I said this was a test, it was because these are in my flicker account and didn't know if I could link them or actually post them. Anyways RCZ'ers it seems you can post them just like PhotoBucket. So there is another way to show of your pics !
If anyone needs help with this, ask and I'll tell you how I did it.

Anyways, Thanks for the positive comments, away we go....

It was a fair drop from the castle edge

to the valley below

These were the rooms at the back of the hotel, complete with loungers, the wooded area had a hot tub - wee hey!!

front of hotel, each block was a room, very nice and cosy warm rooms - well done Danny for choice

pride and place - well I was there first !!

the village had a small lake

this guy was fishing

but the fish were at my side !

there was a harvest type festival going on

the village was very pretty

and had it's own ski lift

Well enough you say we've seen the village - wheres the cars !!!

Ok Ok....

So yes the trip, the drives, the views, the cars !!!

Here we go....

Our first drive out

the roads and scenery were amazing

you looking at me !!!

nearly at the top, this was a hydro-electric dam

well i had to !

at the top

and at the back of the grid...

guess what

we drove up here and the views were amazing @ 2750m

cable-car lift for the skier's to 3108m

if you thought this was quite close, see if you can pick out the digger

skiing anyone?

about to set off back

couldn't resist

you meet the craziest people while you are away !

all 12

the red car was the crazy lady with teddy

the roads and views - stunning

as was this !! well someone has to big it up lol

some guys from England were diving here - repairing the dam or similar

looks small doesn't it, until you can see there is portacabins stacked on there !

who's that girl?

I'm not cutting the grass - no way o say

well there's all sorts to see in this picture - including me !

this was from a floating platform, my legs were like jelly !

guess what I'm in?.... give up?

you all had enough yet?

well more !!

So the yellow lift was only to half way, you then had to get the red lift to the top !!!

this was the top, very high, nice restaurant too

the village bottom left wasn't ours - this was the half way point !!

dramatic shot !

some guys and gals were doing carvings, this was in stone - guess what it is yet?

some of their work was for sale - like this Madonna

top of the world really

This was on our way to Stelvio Pass, first time all lined up

Apparently just after the war when Italy was run by Fascists, they decided to flood this valley and told the residents to leave. There was no compulsory purchase scheme them days, so most of the villagers left for America.
As a reminder they left one of the church steeples erect.. this is it

Of course all this driving takes it's toll and when you've gotta go.....

Now this area is a tourist "hot-spot"

the not so Dirty Dozen !!

this was the valley before flooded, you can see the spire in the village bottom right

top of the Stelvio

the dogs liked it too

lots of people stick stickers to the sign at the top

believe it or not but there are lots of little shops at the top

and a pizza restaurant - they were very nice

this was part of the road up, it has 47/48 bends each one numbered

we were waiting for the lights to change green, this is one end of a tunnel with a single road, hence the traffic light system, of the top of my head the tunnel was 11km !

View from behind us - I'm sure I've seen this on Top Gear !!

from inside the tunnel, taken from a video clip off internal dashcam

fab photos - looks like a great trip... well done

Cheers Renegade79,

For as much as I love Ireland in it's entirety; the fishing, the people, the roads, the scenery - the Alps were something else !! the roads were a pleasure to drive along. I at first kept turning my dash cam off to save space, thinking I'll turn it back on when I see something really nice, truth of it is , it stayed on all the time , for every turn of every corner was another spectacular view, be it a drop or a snow capped mountain rising into the sky.

I have been driving in the Alps three times now, to really experience it you have to go, it is an amazing place !
