Any budding photoshop people

Hi , i am after someone doing me a favour , i am rubbish with photoshop and have been to my local bodyshop this morning to discuss a few things , i am thinking of having the arches and wheels on the z painted gloss black , can anyone touch up the photo attached to show me what the final result would be , this would be a great help

Did you colour them? Or invert them and convert to black and white?

On the arches i made a dark gray shape and used multiply.
On the wheels i used curves to keep some of the shine.

Im still a bit of a noob at photoshop, so I like to see how other people do things on it
I would have selected the parts with the lasso and then changed the levels.

Abzynthe: have you tried using paths/pen tool instead of the lasso tool? its much more precise when you get the hang of it

I love this mod, its exactly the same as i did on mine.
Only difference is that i wrapped the front chrome ring, painted the lion and black doorhandles.
