Another new owner

Hi ,

Just picked up a 2011 156 GT (White) yesterday with just 4500miles from new . It was quite an impulsive buy. I had a number of cars on my list but when we viewed this in the flesh it was hard to deny its a great looking car and was bought on the stop. Worth the 100mile trip across to Carlisle.

Having been quite impulsive I had,nt really researched options etc so could do with some help to work out what I have !

It Has JBL , front parking sensors and looks like leather dash (how can I tell for sure) . Do they all have flat bottomed steering wheel ? and is it easy to tell if its xenons ? Apology's for all the questions .

I just searched for a forum this morning for the 1st time and its great to find such a busy forum.

Finally ! I'm Northumberland based , do any other owners recommend a particular dealer for servicing and work .

Right, time to go and add to those 4500 miles.

Don't apologise and welcome to the forum. The gt has the interior sports kit as standard so yes will have te flat bottom steering wheel. The dash is probably not leather unless it was specced as an option but will be 'techno tep' -apparently you can tell by the colour of the stitching.

The 156 GT's didn't have interior sports kit as standard then, if I remember rightly. A quick way to check is, does the steering wheel have only 1 chrome bit at the bottom of the steering wheel which says RCZ on it? If it doesn't then it's the standard wheel and you don't have the sport pack.

To check if it has Xenons, it has a little square flap under the headlight which pops up to wash the lights. Looks like this on another members car.

The real leather dash has black stitching as opposed to white stitching. We like the contrasting stitching

If you stitching looks like this, then it's real leather. If your stitching is white it's not real leather, but who can tell the difference?

Now if you look underneath the headlamp on the the second image you will see a "diamond shaped" piece of plastic that is not on the first image. That is the headlamp washer and shows that you have Xenon lights. Also if you have a headlamp height adjuster then you have the standard lights.

Sounds like a good buy and well worth a trip across the pennines. Make a date and come down for the meet next weekend. the details can be found on the link.

Yes has the headlight washers , so that's good .

And has RCZ on steering wheel so that means sports pack then. What was included with the sports pack ?

White stitching so no leather , but had me fooled !

Was impressed with the JBL's . Having some issues when iphone linked up for music then receives a call. After call is finished the phone jumps back to start i.e A . So ACDC after every call !

Were black mirrors a no cost option .

If your mirrors look like those in the photo's then they have been optioned as the standard mirrors are black on the bottom half and the top of the same colour as the car.

On the sport pack you got the smaller sports steering wheel, which you have. A short shift gear knob and an acoustic exhaust note when you accelerate.

Spot on Tom I was exactly the same I looked with longing eyes far too long ....the Peugeot dealership is directly next to my place of work.
