Aluminium thermostat housings

Hello. I’m going to overhaul the coolant system of my 200 in the spring when the weather turns better. I’ve got a metal crossover pipe I bought a year or so back from ECS tuning in the US and I was digging about looking to see if there was a metal thermostat housing that might work with mine. They do two ( they are for MINI) as most of the aftermarket stuff like this is). AliExpress do a few but it’s hard to cross reference. I’ve got a plastic housing that is right but I was wondering if anyone had been looking at these or if they don’t work with the RCZs

mines a 2013 if that helps.

just a thought. The crossover pipe does fit and it’s worthwhile I think.
Anyone know about the housings? If there are any, anywhere that they know of? I don’t have a problem coughing up as long as they are the right fit

I have also considered the aluminium rocker cover too, but you hear from the nay camp before the yeah with all these things.

Yeah they are all Chinese made and you are never too sure what you’re getting into. I’m hesitant to buy off the likes of Aliexpress. I’d rather get something from some sort of motor factor or “specialist”

some folk seem to have got the rocker covers to work for them. I’m less bothered about those as it’s not a big job to get those off and on compared to the knuckle ripping thermostat and crossover pipe. The thermostat’s seem to be out there for the MINI but I don’t know if those work on just the N14 and I need an N18. And I don’t know whether either fits our cars.
Just putting it out there as usually someone knows. Maybe.

the crossover is hopefully a fit and forget item and can survive thermostat housing changes if I have to stick with plastic one.
There’s a place in the U.K. doing metal versions of the housing for MINIS.
