Hi there I did have the same issue with getting a replacement gear knob for my Hdi paid for one on eBay but seller wouldn't send due to having a Hdi and not petrol after several messages said it was for a friend who had petrol but didn't know the registration number and in the end posted it and hay presto it fits no problem got another one for the wife's RCZ and not a issue too.. Hello,

So if I buy the gear knob in this site it will work? In the site it shows that the gear knob is not compatible with the diesel engines but I can see that it's exactly the same as yours except for the color of course.

Thank you

Yes and it's a good price too I have heard that some people with Hdi who have got one and say that it's hard to get into reverse but if they put it into first gear before they put it in reverse all is OK no worries

The only thing you have to do for HDI fit is that you put 1cm of something inside the knob. Apparently, the HDI stick is just a bit shorter and this Petrol knobs then prevent engaging reverse.

I had trouble getting mine off I found putting it in 6th gear was much easy as it's angled more towards u. when I clicked mine down I pulled it up just a fraction as it sometimes can be a bit sticky going into reverse. definitely improve the look of the car on inside. original one was really cheap looking

Nice. I remember a number of years ago I had the opposite problem with a Citroen c2 vts, I'm from Scotland and was a bad winter and got really cold overnight so I had frost on inside of window and frost on my alloy gear knob😂😂 french cars are not good for keeping the extreme cold out and the extreme heat out as we both know 😂
The solution. A knob warmer (or knob cooler) IMG_0059.jpeg

Yep burning gear nob is a speciality in heatwaves although I bought the silver tinfoil coated sunshield inner cover which cured the problem during heatwaves & stops the leather dash from frying
