Adjusting headlamp beams

I wish to raise the beams of my (non-HID) headlamps, do I turn the under bonnet adjusters clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread.... But exactly where are these adjusters? My passenger light appears to point too high all of a sudden (after a bulb change!)

First check that the bulb is seated properly!

Usually that happens when you go to put the holding spring on and the bulb moves.

The bulb looks to be seated ok. Will check again in the daylight tomorrow though.

Look for something like this. The grey hex bit is the manual adjuster.
