Accelerator pedal removal

I decided to remove mine for a spruce up today taking them back to bear metal and polishing.

The brake and clutch ones came off fine with the right Torx drive and 8mm spanner but the accelerator one appears to have a non-standard torx head plus no 8mm nuts behind. Is that correct?

On reflection I guess the heads might be a little chewed up but what about the 8mm nut.

Does anyone have any info?

Thanks

Can't offer any help on removal, but aren't the pedal plates metallised plastic? I would have thought polishing is a bit difficult if true?

Mine are definitely alloy. I've polished up the other two so it's just the accelerator one I can't get off.
