Just put a deposit down subject to a test drive on a black GT 2.0 hdi RCZ.
Traveling from teesside to milton keynes on sunday to view. Been assured the car is showroom condition apart from 1 x curbed alloy which will get sorted if we strike a deal ie my car and the rcz are as described to each other. Better get polishing my car tomorrow  l hope the rain keeps away once its cleaned.

Don't forget that the M1 will be closed at J12/13 this weekend whilst the bridge at J12 is demolished. MK is at J14 and it should all be completed by 12pm on Sunday if all goes to planned, so hopefully won't affect your journey.

The M1 southbound entry slip at junction J12 will be closed , due to roadworks, from 10 pm on 30 June 2012 to 5 am on 1 July 2012.

The M1 southbound will be closed between junctions J13 and J12, due to roadworks, from 8 pm on 30 June 2012 to 12 pm on 1 July 2012.

The M1 southbound entry slip at junction J13 will be closed , due to roadworks, from 8 pm on 30 June 2012 to 12 pm on 4 July 2012.

Hi Ashy, for some reason my PM to you failed to leave my outbox. It was just to say that I think the car you will be seeing in MK is Marcus's ex demo car. The GT was in the showroom when we took the Asphalt off his hands back in January !, he kept his word and added all the toys to the GT, quads, grill, lip spoilers etc so you will have a great buy there. Glad to see another Marcus cast off has potentially been bought by a forum member  , look forward to hearing how the test drive went !

Hi its not that car its this one
http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... ?logcode=p

Been told it is excellent condition and they are giving me a good part ex for my car, I looked at this car 4 weeks ago and it was £17,999 so they have just knocked 1k off.
Not to happy about the road closures better get the sat nav out and plan my route again

Doesn't look like it has the vision pack as I can't see the diamond shape front light washers. Nice colour though.

I think you will be safe at J15. I'll see one less bridge on Monday when I pass J12 again. Good luck on Sunday. I think you've waited long enough now!

Thanks
Its not the ideal car as it has no extras but its a HDI, GT, Black and only 12,000 on the clock.
I have had to buy now as my car will cost me approx £800 in july with a service, mot, 2 new tyres, tax, rear pads and disks and my private plate on retention will require renewing at £80.
Plus what summer we are going to get will be over shortly.

I don't think you will be disappointed. I myself wouldn't miss some of the options in my RCZ. E.g. The sat nav, I prefer using my iPhone, now switched to copilot (previously used TomTom) but copilot we're giving away years free traffic and it's half the price of TomTom and just as good. Plus you get regular free updates, unlike the RCZ sat nav. Looks good, but I really should have saved £1400.
As for the JBL... Well lots of others have said the standard sound system is great.
I think the vision pack is the best option to have, but I'm sure you can upgrade the bulbs (lots of topics on that in the forum) not that I think it's necessary.
Next time I will know better. Should have looked more closely at those toys before splashing out.

You will have exactly the same drive and good feelings behind the wheel as every other RCZ driver!

Re: 450 mile round trip to view a car

Well the search is now over, the car was as described, unmarked paintwork with a kerbed alloy. My intention was to view today pay a deposit and collect next sunday, instead i drove it home today. It would of cost me £60.00 in fuel and a wasted day next week, i got £50 knocked off the price and i will do the kerbed wheel and he put a full tank of diesel in as my car had more than half a tank left in.
I will have to search the forum for the site that supplies the quality car mats unless some one has the link at hand.
PS It was a good drive home, shame it was only 210 mile as i could of keept on going to scotland HAHA

Thanks for the replies and comments.
I thought i would be the kid at xmas but the wife cannot stop looking out of the window to see if the car is still there
I have ordered the car mats last night but one thing that is niggleing me is the car documents have come in a cheap red plastic wallet, is this the standard one for the RCZ or has someone done a swap
Had a chilled out day at work ready to claybar the bonnet tonight but as soon as i finished my tea it poured down, never mind another excuse to chillout tomorrow  :eusa-whistle:
