200thp engine in my 156thp ???

Is the 200 thp engine a straight swap for my 156 thp ?

Yes mate, should be a straight swap, seems like alot of work though

You’ll need the intercooler and possibly a rad pack and different piping as well as the engine wiring loom and ECU, keys etc. it’s not just a straight swap and probably more trouble than it’s worth

bugger what else is part of the ecu kit ? ie keys clocks abs module ???

Other things to consider - brake size, suspension components - anti roll bar stiffness for example.

Old thread but for anyone in the future: I recall first gear being shorter, gearbox itself should be the same furthermore iirc.

The gear change set up is noted for short shift changes but long gearing ratios mean that in 3rd gear the car can easily reach 100 MPH enabling cruising speeds to be attained much quicker
