Guys couple of questions...

1. im at 16,000 miles and I really feel that another 4,000 miles is a bit much before a service... i did try and book him in for a service but was told it wasn't needed... I have done those 16,000 in 5 months

2. i can really go anywhere to get him serviced any of you recommend a dealers who would really take care of him? i want him back in showroom condition :D as I never did see what he looked like straight out of the box this is what greeted me when I picked him up from the office at 6am

3. would I be able to arrange a car to use whilst the service is being done? maybe a RCZ petrol?

Why are they knocking back the service? It's a bit bizarre! I don't think it should matter when you get it serviced it should be up to you! As for getting it back in showroom condition do you mean just the engine or the full car (body work etc). Do they not just replace the oil, spark plugs etc when it's serviced.

If you want to give the body work some tlc you should take it to a professional detailer!

if its exterior work I do recommend companies like 'chips away' if you have chips on the body work or the alloy wheels or any dents and they do make the paint on site to match the colour of your car and can repair your alloys on site as well.

for interior work and cleaning I would say a decent car valeting company (cannot recommend any due to them varying to where you live) if you are willing to pay high enough they can get it looking brand new.

and if its service work any decent peugeot dealer will do they all work to the same standards so it does not matter where you get it done.

if you do all of that it will look like brand new but it all depends on how good condition the car is inside and out with the chips away and the valeting company if they are worth it.

I just taken my 156GT in for an interim service as it is 1 year old. I was suprised to find that it includes an oil change and the total cost was £99.98. !! Was informed this was Peugeot's idea. It's a bit rich advertising 20,000 or 2 year servicing and not a mention of this ! Not impressed. So does that mean if you do not take car for an interim service the warrantee still applies ??

The only way is to do it yourself (properly) or pay to get a professonal detailer to do it for you. Personally I wouldn't trust any dealer to touch my paintwork. I always ask them never to clean my cars, inside or out.

Assuming your use of the car doesnt fall into the extreme conditions definition the interim service is not a mandatory service just a suggested one. Its not required to maintain the warranty.

However regular oil changes in a turbo car are a very good idea so you did the right thing

buy a sports car. Service it more regularly than a family shuffler and be happy.

That is just how it goes.
