2 Year Service

I've had an email from Peugeot to say my 2 year service is due at the beginning of October. You can book it on line, which I've had a look at but not yet clicked the confirm button. It says that the cost is £139, which seems cheap to me. Just wondered what others have paid for theirs.

Another question I have is, would the air filter be replaced at this service? If it is, do I just tell them not to touch it as I have a K&N filter fitted?

I am going to need 2 new front tyres but I will get those done elsewhere beforehand, I think.

Wow, that does seem really cheap for a 1st Service at the 2 Year Point :thumbup:

I've got my 1st Service on Wednesday of this week, so I'll let the Forum know what it cost / what's included / etc.

Seems very reasonable. I think I paid £279 for mine. And I do believe the air filter was included.
Yes - get the tyres done before - I'm sure you can get them much cheaper elsewhere

Hi RCZ1! That sounds like a very reasonable price for your service and that's definitely a smart move to source and fit your tyres elsewhere ahead of taking it in.

As for the air filter, I wondered this myself. However, the air filter being changed will not negate your warranty so I wonder if it you would actually need to change them about. My fear is that they would think it needs replaced (which it won't) and you'll have it removed and a bog standard one fitted. Perhaps an anonymous enquiry with your dealership wouldn't do any harm and you could let us know what you find out...?

mine was done for free :wtf: gave me a 3 year service plan FOC when i hammerd a deal out ....two new tyres :eusa-think: :eusa-think: :law-policered: :law-policered: better start saving now :eusa-whistle: too many racing starts :thumbup: happy shopping

You should have a sticker on the air filter box saying K and N filter fitted do not remove. Make sure you also inform them.

I had a sticker, but the sticker wouldn't stick, so not much of a sticker, as stickers go

I do have a K&N label, which I have stapled to the front of my service book.
But I will also tell them, to be crystal clear.

This was for the routine 1st Service and a Coolant Change which I asked for.

Costs broke down as:

Labour: £102.80
Parts *: £84.70
VAT: £37.50
Total: £225.00

* Parts included:
Oil Filter: £10.10
Filtering Pad: £19.16
Charcoal Filt: £16.08
INEO ECS 5w30: £25.00
Washer Liquid: £0.92
Antifreeze: £13.44

(Service was on a Diesel)

Now I know that the "stingy scot" remarks will fly for this but...for the best part of 15 quid I'll put my own antifreeze and washer liquid in thank you very much!!

I've seen me top my windscreen wash to the VERY BRIM before a service and they still charge for it, damn cheek!

It is a little isn't it?!?! Oh and antifreeze at 13 odd bucks...is it a solution obtained from angel's tears?! I presume it's Volvic in the "washer liquid". My water, you know the stuff that comes directly from a tap, doesn't cost me that!!!

I have done 11k miles and no services. It says its first service should be at 20k.
As my car is leased, l will stick with that. l have added coolant, just some oil needed now.

I think it says 20k miles or within 24 months - whichever is the sooner.
You may want to check your date to ensure that you don't go over the 24 month period :thumbup:

I think the initial cost quoted was £165 for the 1st Year Service.
Not sure if the £165 was inclusive of VAT or not though.

Might a Diesel Service be slightly more expensive / take longer than a Petrol maybe.
Was in Service for a good 3 hours.

And I had two cups of their finest Tea and use of the Facilities i.e. TV and Toilet :thumbup:
