2 Tons of Crud

Did my annual Hand Wash / Polish of the car today.

Found a ton of crud in each of the doors.

It's right down towards the front of the car on the frame not the actual door itself.

Opened the car door as wide as possible and got a very long plastic wall plug to clean it out.
Then used a small paintbrush to wipe the excess away.

Hadn't noticed it before.

Cleaned up nice and easy though

Had the usual crud on the inside bonnet arch as usual - put an extra bit of polish on each side to keep it nice.

I know where you mean. I cleaned the same bit out myself today. Was truly embarrassed when I saw it. Never caught my eye before today. Stange :wtf:

Almost all cars build up crud there...I usually clean it after each wash with a cloth, takes only 2 minutes if you do it regularly.

Yes it does build up quickly if left. I use a bit of All Purpose Cleaner in a squirty bottle and spray it in to the gap. Then wipe with a cloth then spray some water in to rinse away.

Yep don't matter how clean the car is that bit in the arch under the bonnet is always black.
