Hi All,
I hope you’re enjoying the weekend.
Last week I had my battery replaced. Went for a drive today and all was well.
We got back to the car, opened her up, dash lit up as expected. Then, it went black and I lost the screen, door wouldn’t lock and it wouldn’t crank. No clicking from the...
Hello folks,
I hope you’re all well.
What regular maintenance and inspections do you carry out, and at what mileage? I’m looking to keep the old girl tickety boo so any advice is greatly appreciated.
Cheers….
Thank you 2010 but it’s too late. They’re dead to me. I dropped £250 on the unit and various cables for a badly fitting thing that didn’t work properly and reduced functionality.
I’m going to stick with the stock unit. I’ll look at improving the sound quality some how, maybe better speakers and...
I only wanted it for Car Play but it turned into such a massive pain in the arse I’ll stick with my current set up of a phone holder and Bluetooth, I’ll possibly score a USB adapter so I can charge the phone from somewhere near the dash and sacrifice the one in the arm rest.
Thanks for all your...
Hi Chris, here were the problems…
When using the connects 2 cable in line, unit didn’t power. But it did power with the loom that came with the unit. I did have control of the Peugeot menu from the stalk though.
I noticed that the ISO pin outs on the C2 unit were different. So I changed them...
Yeah, but the unit wouldn’t power. It’s going back. I just fitted it without the connects2 loom and the dash was flipping between mph and kph!!!
I’ll stick with the original, a phone holder and Bluetooth! 😀
Hi Retro, no idea either. I did have a search and found one guy who said he had to do a bit of cable splicing to get it going, so I’ve done that. It was like the ISO connector was 90 degrees out of kilter.
However, when I tested it and the head unit wouldn’t power I was getting communication...
So, I’ve worked it out. In my humble opinion the Connects 2 leas is wrong. The only way to get it to fit into my head unit loom means all the pin outs are wrong. If I try and put it in so the pin outs match it physically won’t fit! I got the CTSPG007.2AA.
is that the correct one?
I plugged the unit in. The connet2 controller is obviously getting power because I can control it from the stalk. But the head unit doesn’t power. However, when I power the head from the loom that comes in the box, it works.
I’m getting 12v on the connect 2 cable at the unit end. So power is...
Another (probably daft) question, so apologies. Do I have to do any ‘programming’ of the button presses or is it plug n play?
I got myself tte suggested Connect 2 and a patch lead.
Sweet! Cheers, ordered the Connect 2. I would have sent my android screen back if I couldn’t get the little clock on tte dash correctly. Hopefully get it all fitted this week.
Thanks for your help Retro & Chris.
