Tis a modest Hdi, however I have been holding out for a new shape car and had to b metallic red + from a dealer - that combination resulted in only one being available across the UK...every month or so - couldnt travel too far either as relying on a lift!
In the end, I had had enough of close calls and when this one came up, I insisted on paying a good deposit over the phone, on day of advert!
Sooo glad I held out on the metallic red...she looks as exotic as a 308 Ferrari to me! - The interior is equally up to similar standards - appears to be full Napa leather
- As new.
Exterior has only 2 paint chips on the front that need attention when weather gets better, wheels are 90% perfect too.
Return journey, averaging high 50s to gallon and 46 locally with some spirited back road driving, which is as good as u could wish for.
You will see from my earlier threads that I had major concerns re ride quality, having experienced my sister's 200. - It was truly alarming when u found one of the fifteen trillion potholes in the Midlands..
Turns out, it had a damaged road spring!!
Very pleased with mine, but again a pothole is still alarming, and I still maintain that it should run 45 profile tyres...even 50s on the diesel. Look at what the highly praised Elan used to ride on...even my Griff is on 50s!!
Mine is on 19" 35s, which is comically low - would love to know if 50s would fit, but cant see it on the 19s as front tyres would bind on the standard liners I feel
Soo, considering 45s on the 19 or 50 on the 18s and would welcome any feedback from anyone who has done this
Even the CD player sounds great
