Air Filter on the R

Morning all, just ordered a performance panel air filter for the R, purely to avoid keep changing the crap paper filter in the future.

I have these before in my other cars, just wondering if anyone has noticed any difference with the R, not power obviously, was thinking more of maybe from a sound perspective or response etc

I stuck a Pipercross in mine, not sure it made much difference tbh, some say they give circa 2-5bhp for some cars etc, spool up/engine maybe a tad smoother....or it was just psychological...; however with the mileage I am doing it would be much cheaper to keep the OE paper/replace as needed.

I had Pipercross on mine for a while. The intake sound got a tiny bit louder, hardly to notice. Powerwise I did not spot any difference, also in regards of the turbo picking up the pace. Therefore during a service they swapped it back to normal filter (with my OK) and this how it ended.
