Yeah all that stuff you mentioned should make it able to handle the extra power, but HOW to do that specifically with that box is the question.
The box is Aisin AT6 so a decent manufacturer and its in a fair few cars so I would of assumed someone somewhere would of done this type of upgrade...
Hey bud, I notice you have the 200hp auto, so if you're planning on giving it a decent amount more horsepower, just be aware that the auto trans is rated for a maximum of 300nm. The 200hp engine is already pumping out around 275nm so that doesn't give you much room to increase it.
There is...
Curious why you would want to buy the rubber sleeve separately, did you damage the sleeve taking a coil out?
Either way, some good replacement coils to get are the NGK U5055 - NGK Ignition coil U5055 (48206) | Sparkplugs Ltd
Ok I managed to get it up on a hoist for a quick check of the oil level sensor and as far as visual inspection goes, the connector is on solid and the wires going to it seem to be connected, can't see any damage to them from this angle.
Thinking about it though, if the wires themselves were...
Had this exact same issue, crack in same place, slow leak needing to be pumped up every day. I tried sourcing a replacement wheel but couldn't find any used ones, and a new one from Peugeot was quoted at around 2000GBP, so obviously I'm not doing that lol.
I just ended up getting a whole set of...
That's a good pic thanks, I'll be able to find it much quicker when I get under there!
The oil level is correct (dipstick confirmed) and when I start the car, the first message I get is: "Oil level correct"
Then that is immediately followed by: "Engine fault: Repair needed"
So I'm willing to...
Hey thanks for the photo. That location is right in the area where I had been moving things around. I had completely removed the airbox, and taken the nuts off to remove the intake manifold (but just so I could move it into any position, I didn't completely unhook everything and take it out)...
Yeah I know but the I'm certain most of the codes were generated from the electrical gremlins, so the idea is to clear the codes, drive around and see what pops up again, if at all.
So I took it to an independant garage and they hooked it up to their Autel scantool...about 10 error codes listed...
Well I've driven it for a few days and its completely normal in all aspects except, its in limp mode. The error message on the cluster simply says 'Engine fault'.
Since the car performs fine, I wonder if the ECU logged some errors when I had the initial issues connecting everything back up, and...
Just get your rails vinyl wrapped and you won't have to worry about applying special coatings all the time. I've wrapped mine, easy done, cost about 280euro and I don't have to worry about them for the next 5 years tops (this car is garaged so the wrap will resist fading for far longer than...
Ok so I've taken it for a decent 1 hour drive, it still complaining that there is an engine fault, so its in limp mode. I have a basic OBD2 scanner but it says no error codes, I need something more capable to use. Any ideas where to get that Lexia3 cable and Diagbox software from?
I started it up and ignored the messages about faulty brakes and engine, since I could feel the brakes working and the engine was running fine. Since I fitted a new thermostat and crossover pipe, I had it idling so I could watch the coolant temp rise, and make sure that the waterpump kicked in...
Yeah thanks for that suggestion, had a check it all ok.
But I happened to have a new BPGA module sitting around so had a hunch and after disconnecting the battery, swapping over the BPGA module, then reconnecting and now it starts!
Funny thing is, the BPGA module that I had in there is fairly...
Actually, I can lock and unlock it with the buttons on the key. When I sit in the car, after about a minute it automatically locks and then I can see the lock button and parking sensor button on the dash light up constantly one after the other, as if to indicate the alarm is on.
Here's the...
No sound at all when turning key to 'ON' position, the car has zero reaction, no sounds, nothing. That's why I think the keys are no longer connected. I can turn the barrel because the physical key is obviously for the car, but the electronics aren't linked so I imagine the immobiliser and car...
