Success !
Filled the matrix with Radflush (all I had to hand) and left overnight. Flushed and reverse flushed a few times, a few bits came out. Reassembled, refilled and bled....
We have heat !
Its good enough for me, not enough to cook Chicken though.
Thanks for your advice everyone, Much...
I have a dilemma.
Having removed the airbox, Air supply pipes and Heater matrix hoses (to gain access) the heater matrix has been flushed and reverse flushed. An amount of "crud" came out but not as much as I was expecting.
Under mains pressure all now seems fine. Clean water coming out...
I've had some further info. from Peugeot......
Confirmed heaters not blowing hot air on inspection , checked water pump return by allowing coolant heat up and checked return into expansion tank – passed
Checked pipes through bulkhead into heater matrix unit – noticeable difference in...
Thanks Pedro, Will try tomorrow if it ever stops raining.

Nothing really to do with the RCZ but I just heard that Chris Rea has died.
I don't normally make any unrelated RCZ comments but Chris Rea was one of the finest British Rock and Blues stars ever, Looking for the Summer is going to be played at my Funeral.
RIP Chris. 😢
I replaced all 4 with a set of Bosch ones (GSF -BOS0221504800), £108 for all 4. The AA fitted one is in the boot just in case. Been running fine for 2 years, No complaints about Bosch at all.
And Eddie, Please don't use that word. It makes my mobile phone go nuts, every app, google search ...
Before spending lots of cash and time consider booking into a garage for a full diagnostic scan. Not necessarily a Peugeot dealer, My local garage had a suitable device for identifying which ABS sensor was damaged. An OBD2 couldn't do that.
Bite the bullet (or the Australian equivalent). Its...
Just a thought, There are some fuses under the bonnet, including some that the handbook states "must be done by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop." Worth checking them ?
