Code P0016

Hi everyone , I have error code P0016 , which i understand is to do with sensors on camshaft and crankshaft ,relating to timing . Car shows no symptoms only a occasional lag in acceleration . I can not get it garage till next Friday . Would it be safe to do a long journey before that ??

Its in main dealers now for new timing chain , going to cost a small fortune !!

It doesn't have to be the timing chain, it could also be that the Vanos system is not working well.

Hi , its now in garage and it is the timing chain , going to cost a small fortune ,once they can source the parts !!
