Not that I am aware of I know that they are expensive are you sure that it has gone, if so what are the symptoms...
Hi, it started making a grinding noise and then stopped rising.
I took it to Halfords as it was the only garage that could fit me in before Hogmanay and they said it was the problem.
So that I could drive the car with the window up they butchered the regulator for me.
So it is definitely needing replaced now.
There's a bloke on ebay who repair he might be able to help you...
