Can anyone explain whats happening here
Ive got a flat tyre, tried to use the spare, when unlocking the nuts. I realised i had 4 hexagonal nuts and 1 round one with 4x patterned half circle cut outs

My car didnt have the wheel nut adaptor
I called a friend with an rczr, he came over with his adaptor, i couldnt unlock the one nut with it, it appears to be a mismatch,

But to test, the wheel nut adaptor matched On his tyre and i could remove.

What am i missing here?

Like this?
That's the locking wheel nut.

Every Peugeot I've had with them (at least 4) I've removed them and fitted normal bolts.
One on my 508 GT needed heating up and cutting off. One on my first 407 sheered off after the dealership changed the tyres and wazzed all the bolts up with an airgun.

If you don't have the key you could probably try a local Peugeot dealer.

Thart it! I got my terminology wrong, and been furiously googling for a day

Ive only done one service on the car but it was a specialist peugeot centre.
Im happy to remove it,

I can give the dealer a call.on monday, but surely they would have a key or the ability to drill it out

I'm guessing you don't have the number that goes with the bolts and key?
That's usually how a dealer can order a new set.

Thanks for your help everyone, resolved!
Learnt something this week

Did not know each car came with a unique wheel nut lock

I had one from another car and it looked the same but just didn't fit

Spoke to the local Peugeot specialist and got told even they couldn't unlock it
The options where to order one from France or for them to drill it whilst drilli g would cost $200-$600

Fortunately I looked very hard and there was one hidden under the tire kit

Wow, what an expensive setup

My advice, now you've found the key, bin them and fit normal bolts. Under the silver caps no on will know. Besides, who steals wheels these days?
They'd more likely want your catalytic converter.
